Thank you for your interest in the Polk Avenue and W. Dahlia Street (Polk/Dahlia) corridor between Pine Street and Cherry Street. In the fall of 2023, the City of Louisville implemented multiple traffic calming measures in response to two auto-pedestrian incidents and feedback from the community that the street should be made safer. Improvements included the following three (3) elements:

    • Advisory bike lanes (dashed bike lane)

    • Speed cushions

    • Raised crosswalk at Madison Ave.

The improvements have now been in place for approximately one year, and the City is looking for feedback from neighborhood residents regarding user behavior in the corridor. Your feedback will be compiled and provided to Council to inform future corridor discussions.

All questions below are in reference to the corridor of Polk Avenue and W. Dahlia Street between Pine St. and Cherry St.
