Over the coming months, the City of Louisville is developing the first Housing Plan! To stay up to date on the progress of the plan, keep visiting this page. This page will be updated with key dates, data and plan progress as the plan develops.

The Plan process started with a Housing Needs Assessment that was presented at the first Open House in June 2023. The Housing Needs Assessment evaluated how housing in the city has changed, and what the current and future trends are based on the most accurate and up to date data available. The Housing Needs Assessment has since helped guide draft housing strategies and actions for the Housing Plan. A Draft Housing Strategies document was published to the website for public feedback in fall 2023.

Planning Commission recommended approval of the draft Housing Plan on April 11, 2024. The Housing Plan is scheduled to go before City Council on May 7, 2024. Visit this link for the packet materials and meeting information that will be made available prior to the meeting.

Anyone needing sign language interpretation, translation services, or assisted listening systems for the event, should contact the City Clerk’s Office (303.335.4536 or 303.335.4574) or email ClerksOffice@LouisvilleCO.gov. A 48-hour notice is requested.

The Housing Needs Assessment set the foundation for the Housing Plan by gathering and analyzing housing data to determine the current state of housing in Louisville. Watch the video recording below of the presentation and following Q&A of the Housing Needs Assessment Data to learn more.

If you left a water bottle at the Open House on June 20th, please contact 303-335-4594 and leave a description of the bottle.
